Join us on an unforgettable island hop *in the South Funen Archipelago, where you will experience two charming islands, Lyø and Avernakø, in one trip. *

This tour combines scenic walks, fun activities for kids and plenty of time to enjoy each other's company. We take care of all the practicalities so you can focus on creating memories together. The hotel's closest neighbors are playground, multitrack, football field, and beautiful scenery. With this tour we want to create a safe experience, both fun and with a focus on the well-being and health of children.

**Program: ** Day 1: Adventure on Lyø and arrival at Avernakø

**9:45 a.m.: ** The tour starts in Faaborg. On Kanalvej 13 you will find the island ferry waiting for you to depart at 10:00. The first stop is Lyø where the ferry runs until 10:40am. When you board the ferry you will find a clearly marked “cage” where you can put your luggage, the ferry staff will arrange to get it safely to Avernakø, where we will transport it up to the hotel.
On the ferry you can buy drinks and you can admire the South Funen Island Sea. Maybe even spot a guinea pig! There is both a salon and a sun deck.
**10:40 a.m.: ** Arrive at Lyø, where you have four hours to explore this beautiful island. Tip: The bell stone and the seed-filled street candy are a sure hit with the kids! There are various eateries open during the summer season and a cozy little grocery store.
**2:40pm: ** The ferry sails from Lyø to Avernakø. Then the trip continues to Avernakø! Arriving at 3:10 p.m. From here you can choose to rent bicycles or stroll the pleasant walk of 1.5 km. up to the hotel. You will pass by Avernakø Købmand on the way to the hotel.
**3:30 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.: ** Welcome to the hotel! You will be accommodated, handed over your luggage, and shown around.
**5:30-7:00 p.m.: ** Dinner will be served and there are always alternatives to the dish of the day - both for children and adults. For dessert, there are fluffy pancakes with pickled fruits and own cream ice cream.

Day 2: Experience Avernakø and the hotel's many animals

**7:00 a.m. to 8:30 a.m.: ** Enjoy a delicious breakfast with a large and child-friendly selection of homemade delights.
**9:15 a.m.: ** Join us for an exciting animal watching tour where zookeeper, Majbritt, talks about the animals and anyone can help feed them. Meet rabbits, goats, sheep, guinea pigs, budgies and a musk duck named Farmand.
**From 12:00 to 15:00: ** During this time lunch is served at the Landhotell with good dishes for both children and adults.
**At 3:10 p.m.: ** Then the trip goes home and the ferry sails you to Faaborg at 3:10 p.m. The luggage will also be brought to the ferry so that you can take it from the “cage”. It is possible to book an island taxi if preferred.

Dogs are warmly welcome with us, but must be mentioned in connection with the order. It is possible to book an extra night including dinner, breakfast and packed lunches. Practical information

Ferry Ticket - Your ferry tickets will be attached to an email we will send to you. There is a barcode that the ferry staff must scan when boarding the [ferry] (https://oefaergen.fmk.dk/) in Faaborg. The other tickets are reserved only, but must also be brought with you. Be in good time for the ferry departure. Please note that you must receive your ferry tickets within 2 days of booking. (check spam)
Your travel plans may change. Therefore, you can easily adjust the departure time of your return ferry by using the link in your ticket.
Baggage Transportation - When you board the ferry you will find a clearly marked “cage” where you need to put your luggage, the ferry staff will arrange to get it safely to Avernakø, where we will transport it up to the hotel.
There is an opportunity to rent bikes on Avernakø. We have three bike stations where you can borrow and drop off bicycles. Avernakø Havn, Avernakø Landhotel and Korshavn Havn. Price: 50 DKK per day.There is free access to our Kram Krabben gear base during the entire stay. Here you can find equipment such as water binoculars and shrimp trawlers for an exciting trip to the beach.
