With our local guide you will not only get a guided tour, but a real insight into island life, history and amazing scenery that only a local can give. The trip is the perfect combination of light activity, culture and good Danish food.

Program
- 10:00am: The ferry to Avernakø departs from Faaborg Havn, Kanalvej 13, 5600 Faaborg.
- 11:10am: Arrival and reception at the Port of Avernakø. Then follows a guided tour of the island with our experienced and local guide. Along the way we experience the amazing nature of the island and the guide will tell you about island life in 2025, the island's wildlife, history, and of course sights. We also visit the island's church and get out into the fresh air at the idyllic harbour, Korshavn.
- 1:15pm: Enjoy a Danish lunch buffet with classic dishes such as: tartelettes, herring and eggs, apple pork, warm liver pate and cold cuts. After lunch, coffee and homemade cookies are served, everything is homemade with a unique island touch.
- 2:40: The time has come to return towards the port, where the ferry departs from Avernakø at 3:10pm with arrival in Faaborg at 3:40pm.

Practical information

The tour is adapted for arriving together in the bus (though not double-decker) and adapted to the ferry departures.

Guide will board the bus at Avernakø Harbour (11.10) and guide you safely through the day until the group takes the ferry home again (15.10).

The tour is offered all year-- though not in July and August, as the roads in those months are too crowded for bus.

At the two stops, as well as at the hotel it is easy, even for poor walking.
