We have provided everything so that you can focus on the most important thing: your fishing in peace and quiet. With few participants and thoughtful planning, we ensure that there is ample space to explore the coasts alone or in small groups — without the hustle and bustle.

Here you will have a unique opportunity to fish in a UNESCO Global Geopark on stretches known for their tranquil and pristine surroundings. The coasts around Lyø and Avernakø are never busy, which ensures that you can enjoy fishing in peace — with whole stretches to yourself.

This tour is tailored for those who want to immerse yourself in the fishing at your own pace and enjoy the tranquil atmosphere of the beautiful islands. With our many years of experience, we ensure that every detail — from dining times to practical needs — is tailored to your wishes. On this tour we have only a limited number of participants, so you will have plenty of peace to immerse yourself in the fishing.

You choose when you want to take the ferry home again, and we arrange the ferry ticket. If you wish to extend your stay and explore the Sea Trout Paradise further, there is an option to purchase additional accommodation and meals.

Programmes

  1. Departure to Lyø - 8.00

    The day begins at the ferry, which departs from Kanalvej 13, 5600 Faaborg. The ferry crossing to Lyø takes about 40 minutes.

  2. Packed lunch & coffee at Lyø - 9.10

    Packed lunches and coffee will be found in a clearly marked thermo box at Lyø Havn.

  3. Departure to Avernakø - 14:45

    After a few hours of fishing on the peaceful shores of Lyø — where there are rarely other anglers — you will take the ferry to Avernakø from Lyø harbour at 14:45 and you will arrive in Avernakø at 15:10.

  4. Arrival at Avernakø Landhotel

    Upon arrival we are ready to welcome you with coffee and cake as well as accommodation. Dinner is served according to your wishes, so you can plan your day without disruption. In the evening you can explore the beautiful shores of Avernako and prepare for the next day's fishing. We also have facilities and space for shared coziness where you can, for example, tie a fly or two (you must include fly sticks and gear yourself).

  5. The second day is all your own

    With a greased packed lunch in your bag, you can choose to explore the island's shores at your own pace. Avernakø offers numerous fishing spots where you can find peace and have stretches all to yourself. It is of course open for operation all day

  6. Check-out - 11:00

    We offer luggage storage and any catch until later in the day.

  7. Departure to Faaborg

    You choose when you want to take the ferry home again, and we arrange the ferry ticket. If you wish to extend your stay and explore the Sea Trout Paradise further, you can purchase additional accommodation and meals.

Practical information

  • You will receive your ferry ticket in advance via email, which simply needs to be scanned by the ferry staff.
  • You can clean your catch with us. Then it can be frozen to take home or we can prepare it at the hotel for you.
  • There will be an opportunity to establish a workplace for fly tying or other.
  • At the hotel we have a small, but good, selection of various fishing tackle, flies, hooks, etc. if you need something.
  • Your waders and gear can be dried at the hotel, so it's ready for the next day.
  • Information about Avernakø and Lyø as a fishing destination is available at the hotel.

  • The eatery and bar are open all day at Avernakø Landhotel if you want a bite to eat or drink in addition to the included.
  • We need your registration number to book a ferry ticket and the number of people in the car.
  • Your travel plans may change. Therefore, you can easily adjust the departure time of your return ferry by using the link in your ferry ticket.
