Island Hop in Hiking Shoes

*Experience two islands in one trip in the South Funen Archipelago, Avernakø and Lyø. We take care of everything from ferry tickets and luggage transfers to accommodation and food. Here you get the chance to experience part of a UNESCO Global Geopark. *

The Program

1. Day 1: The tour starts in Faaborg at 9:45 a.m. On Kanalvej 13, the island ferry is waiting for you, departing at 10:00. The first stop is Lyø where the ferry runs until 10:40am. When you board the ferry you will find a clearly marked “cage” where you need to put your luggage, the ferry staff will arrange to get it safely to Avernakø, where we will transport it up to the hotel.
2. On Lyø there are 4 hours to explore this beautiful island. You must bring packed lunches here, as the eateries on the island are closed outside the summer season. However, you can stay up to date on the opening hours of Café Lyø here.
3. The ferry departs from Lyø to Avernakø at 14:40. From Avernakø Harbour there is a trip of 1.5 km. to the hotel, where we are waiting with your luggage and a room. At 16:00 there is a welcome with coffee and cake. Maybe the energy is for an evening walk after the meal or maybe the beautiful nature of Avernakou will have to wait until day 2.
4. Day 2 you lubricate packed lunches in conjunction with breakfast and on the trip there are many good and obvious places to enjoy it. Among other things, Madpakkehuset on Skallevejen. You leave your luggage at the hotel and then we transport it down to the ferry before departure.
5. The ferry departs back to Faaborg at 15:10. If you want a later departure (16.30 or 19.10), please send us an email in connection with your booking.
